Snuggie Blanket
A couple of weeks ago I was watching T.V. with my husband when an infomercial came on advertising Snuggie. I was telling my husband how corny this product looked and that I would not be caught dead wearing it. While making these comments he was laughing at me and pointing at the big, green, ugly blanket that I was all cuddle up in on the couch. He told me I would probably love it if I tried it. I said I wasn’t gonna waste my money buying it.
Friday, my husband came home from work with a package, he said it was a gift for me! I was so excited! He would not let me open it until I promised I would try it that night! I was a little worried as I made the promise, not knowing what it could be! I opened the package, and to my surprise, inside was a Snuggie.
I sighed, remembering our previous conversation the week before, I did not want to loose the argument. That night while watching Transformers with my son, I decided it was time to open the box and give it a try. WOW!!! I loved it, it only took a few minutes and I was totally warm, no cold drafts and I could still use the remote and eat popcorn without losing my blanket. I fell asleep that night wrapped in my new favorite blanket! Saturday and Sunday I spent the whole day wrapped up, warm and comfy in my new Snuggie!
I will never again judge an infomercial about their products until I try them, I wonder what else I have missed out on. My husband is happy because now he can adjust the heat a little lower without me complaining. This could save us a ton! I am usually a cold person, but now I have found something to keep me warm without killing our heating bill. I was happy, my husband was happy. I cannot take this thing off! My old green blanket made it’s way to the Salvation Army this week, so I guess we also made someone else happy and warm too!
I was worried because this morning I realized I would have to wash my Snuggie soon. I was thinking it may fall apart or the fabric may not feel the same after washing it. I did not want to loose the super soft fleece Snuggie I fell in love with! So, after pacing the living room a few times I said what the heck, it should be fine. I washed and dried it that day with no problems. It still felt as soft and warm as when I took it out of the box a week ago.
There are four birthday coming up in my family this month. I have already placed orders for four new Snuggies to give as gifts. I know this is one gift that will not disappoint anyone! I also ordered one for each of my children and one for my Husband! Now we will no longer fight over mine!
